Briefing

Lyra Obsidianwatch wants to know what the vault hums: a hum, a tick, or a mute, and absolutely no sermon.

Steps

On the Spore Anchor underfloor, log a single vault sign from the dark faces: a hum, a tick, or a mute. Return the log, and deliberately avoid recording what the faces are.

Reward

Dialogue

  • Bring me whatever the vault hums, and nothing more; I have no use for a sermon.
  • Glowmire keeps two things carefully: its water and its old debts.
  • Go down to the Spore Anchor underfloor, where the dark faces wait. Log one hum, tick, or mute and bring it back, without describing what the faces are. I record this step at the Spore Anchor.
  • You've heard it now, and you are still standing, which is worth remembering.
  • I will write your log faithfully, but I will not write down everything I know.
