Void Echo
From Abernon
Void Echo is the Evil alignment ability of the Mirrorwalker class. It sits in the separate alignment ability slot and unlocks when the player chooses an alignment.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Class | Mirrorwalker |
| Alignment | Evil |
| Resource cost | All Mirror Energy |
| Mechanic | The Mirrorwalker places a perfect shadow copy at their current position — visually and behaviorally indistinguishable from the Mirrorwalker to enemy AI. The copy persists for 8 seconds and absorbs all targeted attacks directed at the position (attacks pass through it harmlessly in terms of damage received by the real Mirrorwalker). The real Mirrorwalker enters Mirror Step immediately at no additional Mirror Energy cost. Any enemy that attacks the Void Echo has their attack target locked to the copy's position for the duration — they continue targeting the copy even after attacking it. |
| Damage | None from the ability. The Mirrorwalker attacks freely during the 8 seconds. |
| Healing | Not recorded |
| Duration | 8 seconds |
| Cooldown | 50 seconds |
| Range | Not recorded |
| PvP note | Human players can distinguish the Void Echo from the real Mirrorwalker by observing that the copy does not gain Mirror Energy or use abilities. Enemy player detection adds a subtle visual tell (shimmer) after 3 seconds. |
| Notes | Makes the Evil Mirrorwalker the most deceptive class in any PvP encounter. In PvE, against enemy AI, the copy is 100% indistinguishable for the full duration — allowing the real Mirrorwalker to attack unhindered from behind. |
| Lore | In the Realm of Silence, Mirrorwalkers learned that the most effective shadow is the one enemies think is real. They never stopped looking. |
