New Story so far page (Robert approved): main storyline by act, no new plot

New page

Story so far
This page follows the main Abernon storyline in order, act by act. It links every main-line quest page. It only repeats what the quest pages already say, so it holds no spoilers beyond them. Each biome also has its own optional quest line; those lines change biome favor but do not decide the ending, so they are not listed here.

Quests are placed in an act by their level. The act names and level ranges come from the main story arc.

Act 1: First Light (levels 1 to 20)
You arrive on Abernon with no past. The class tutorial runs first. After it, your starting biome's own quest line (Q0001 to Q0045, in the biomes B001 to B005) teaches you the ground. Those opening quests belong to the biome lines, so they appear on each biome page rather than here.

The first main-line quest comes at level 17 in B007 Prism Fissures. In Q0061 Three on the Dais, Idris Xenstone of the Riftwalker Brotherhood asks you to record what the vault hums and bring back the log. It is the first quest on THE SILENCE mystery chain.

Act 2: The Living Planet (levels 20 to 50)
Two mystery chains open between levels 26 and 29.

* THE SILENCE in B007 Prism Fissures: Q0151 THE SILENCE — First Encounter, Q0152 THE SILENCE — Ashan's Account, Q0153 THE SILENCE — Brotherhood Echo, Q0154 THE SILENCE — The Temporal Fault, Q0155 THE SILENCE — The Answer Approaches. Faeron Riftvale and Ashan Mirewood give these quests. They lead from a first encounter, through Ashan's account, a Brotherhood echo and the Temporal Fault, to the point where the answer approaches.
* THE REFLECTION in B088 Abyssal Mirrorwake: Q0156 THE REFLECTION — First Encounter, Q0157 THE REFLECTION — Yolande's Research, Q0158 THE REFLECTION — The Interface Responds. Elara Mirewood and Yolande Ashveil give these quests. They lead from a first encounter, through Yolande's research, to the moment the Interface responds. This chain opens after THE SILENCE chain's last quest.

Act 3: The Two Places (levels 50 to 75)
No main-line quest pages are recorded in this level range yet.

Act 4 (levels 75 to 90)
At level 81 in B078 Gleamsunder Mire, Q0700 What the Gleamsunder Vault Hums is the player's final Holy or Evil choice. Dravin Ashveil asks for an exact record of what the vault hums. This quest sits outside the Holy and Evil quest counts.

Where the story branches. Your alignment decides which path opens at level 90. A Holy alignment opens the Reflection path. An Evil alignment opens the Silence path. Each path ends with its own completion quest.

Act 5: The Fifth Age Continues, Your Path (levels 90 and up)
The Reflection path (Holy)
This path takes place in B088 Abyssal Mirrorwake, at the Mirrorwake Interface, with Corvus Mirewood. It needs a Holy alignment and level 90. The quest givers are Corvus Mirewood, Elara Mirewood, Yolande Ashveil and the historical record of Caelen Zephyrcroft. The REFLECTION chain also continues here with Q0790 What the Trench Hums, given by Faeron Stonecleft.
