= Biome Favor =

Every biome in Abernon has its own '''favor''' track. Favor shows how much the people of that biome trust you. It is separate from [[:Category:Factions|faction reputation]], and it never changes the ending of the main storyline.

== Two kinds of quests ==

* '''Main line''' quests are the Abernon storyline. They decide the ending. Once they are finished, the official story is complete. They are the mystery chain Q0151–Q0158, the support quests Q0061 and Q0790, the final choice Q0700, and the Holy Q901–Q950 and Evil Q951–Q1000 lines. Main-line quests do not change biome favor.
* '''Biome line''' quests are every other quest. Each biome has its own chain. You can finish a biome's chain to earn favor there, or skip it.

Every quest page has a '''Line''' row and a '''Favor''' row. Every biome page has a '''Favor''' section with its chain.

== How favor changes ==

* Finish a biome-line quest: '''+10''' favor in that quest's biome.
* Finish every biome-line quest in a biome: you become '''Favored''' there, with a '''+20''' bonus.
* Skip a quest: no favor. Skipping alone never costs favor.
* Finish a quest for a faction that contests a biome: '''−5''' favor in that biome. The biome page's "Contested by" row names that faction. A quest never costs favor in its own biome.
* Favor can go below zero.

== Favor levels ==

{| class="wikitable"
! Level !! Favor !! What changes in that biome
|-
| Wary || below 0 || Prices at the biome's settlements are 10% higher. Local people share no tips.
|-
| Neutral || 0–9 || Normal prices and normal service.
|-
| Known || 10–49 || Settlement merchants show their full stock.
|-
| Trusted || 50 or more || 5% off at the biome's settlements. Local people mark harvest spots on your map.
|-
| Favored || the full chain is done, and favor is at least half of the biome's highest favor || 10% off at the biome's settlements, cheaper fast travel to them, and a full rest at any of its settlements.
|}

If favor in a Favored biome drops below half of that biome's highest favor, you go back to Trusted until it rises again.

== Notes ==

* Favor is tracked for each biome on its own. Doing well in one biome doesn't raise favor in another.
* Favor changes how a biome plays. It does not change the Holy or Evil choice or the ending.
